1. The status of digitalisation in enforcement of the judgments under the regulation in

question (a) under EOP Regulation, and (b) under EEO Regulation

Electronic communication is possible, and all forms can be filed online. Still all information is in Swedish language.

Procedural aspects

2. Competent court or authority and procedure involved in the enforcement (a) under EOP

Regulation, and (b) under EEO Regulation

Swedish enforcement authority enforces EOP and EEO in Sweden. This is a national authority working with debts in Sweden. The authority can set exact rules how documents should be submitted to the institution. On the website of this Authority all forms for both Regulations can be found. It provides support and guidance for both creditors and debtors in handling EOP and EEO enforcement matters.

3. rules on service

Mostly procedural documents are serviced electronically in Sweden. Postal service or Swedish enforcement authority can be used to service procedural documents. Also, the County Administrative Board of Stockholm is the Central Authority for international service of documents in Sweden, which is part of the country's international judicial cooperation.

4. Language of the certificate and documents to be appended

If the certificates or accompanying documents are not in Swedish, the Swedish Enforcement Authority may require a translation. The applications to issue EOP must be in Swedish or English.

5. enforcement fees

Fees are set by Swedish Enforcement Authority. The basic fee for applying for enforcement is SEK 600 per case and year. Additional costs for additional works can be calculated.

6. Refusal, stay, or limitation of the enforcement procedure under the regulation in question in

the intended Member State (a) under EOP Regulation, and (b) under EEO Regulation

Competent district court has competence to decide on refusal, stay or limitation of enforcement. The applications to start such procedures should be submitted according to the Code of Judicial Procedure.

7. Availability of any legal aid for guidance on the enforcement procedures under the

regulation in question in the intended Member State (a) under EOP Regulation, and (b) under EEO Regulation

General rules on legal aid are applied. Sweden has a combination of public and private cover for legal expenses in civil cases. Legal expenses insurance is part of household insurance policies, and it can pay part of the costs of legal representation in certain types of case under litigation. Those without household insurance, or if the insurance does not cover the case, can, under certain circumstances, be entitled to publicly funded legal aid. In order to obtain legal aid person has to apply to the Legal Aid Authority, which provides legal aid under the Legal Aid Act, or directly to the court if the case is already before the court.

8. Critical assessment of the enforcement procedures under the regulation in question in the

intended Member State (a) under EOP Regulation, and (b) under EEO Regulation

Still these Regulations are applied quite seldom and these legal acts are not well known in Sweden.
